About our guest speaker:
Carla S. Cegielski is a full-time genealogical researcher, lecturer, and writer specializing in Ohio, western Pennsylvania, and West Virginia research. A former college instructor, Carla has lectured widely since 2008 and is known for highlighting underutilized record collections. She was the author of the Tech Tips column in NGS Magazine (2019–2024) and created the Reading Old Handwriting course for the National Genealogical Society.
