CARE Fall Prevention Program @ Soule Library

CARE Fall Prevention Program @ Soule Library In-Person

Falls are one of the leading causes of injury in older adults—but many are preventable. The CARE Fall Prevention Program is designed to help you understand the physical, behavioral, and environmental factors that increase your risk of falling at home and in the community. Each week, we focus on a new topic related to fall risk and provide practical strategies to help you stay safe. You’ll learn how to modify daily activities, improve your surroundings, and build confidence through personal safety skills. Participants will also take part in a weekly guided exercise class that includes chair yoga, Tai Chi, bodyweight movements, and resistance training. These evidence-based exercises are proven to improve strength, balance, and mobility.
